The EndoColibri® offers highly efficient cleaning of the complex root canal system. In this case, there was a large apical lesion on the palatal root and an untreated MB2 canal.
Due to the retreatment nature of the case, the shaping size for the MB1, distal, and palatal canals was largely dictated by the original preparation. The minimally invasive approach in the MB2 canal is clearly visible on the radiograph.
Pre-OP CBCT
Pre-operative CBCT showed a clearly visible apical lesion on the palatal root of tooth 26, with perforation into the maxillary sinus.
Pre-OP CBCT
CBCT revealed a previously untreated MB2 and a second lesion at the mesial root.
Post-OP X-Ray
Post-OP X-ray shows a densely filled root canal system with multiple apical ramifications and a puff on the palatal root.
Post-OP X-Ray
After 3 months, apical healing is clearly visible.
A different angulation reveals a major ramification in the apical third of the palatal root, completely filled with sealer.
