Founded in 2018 by Dennis Manuel Köhrer and Patrick Christian Köhrer, our story combines over 50 years of family-based expertise in dentistry with the courage to challenge conventional paths and create patient-centered solutions.

Expertise from two worlds
Dennis Köhrer, a second-generation dentist, brings not only deep insights into clinical practice through his family’s long-standing tradition in dentistry but also advanced technical expertise from his mechanical engineering studies at RWTH Aachen University. This unique blend of clinical experience and technical know-how laid the foundation for our philosophy: We develop products by endodontists for endodontists – designed to ensure responsible and forward-thinking patient care.
But why start our own company?
Over the years, we have observed the industry’s developments as consultants and developer for dental companies – with growing concern. The market has increasingly shifted its focus toward profit margins, often neglecting the practical needs of clinical practice. Innovative ideas were stifled for economic reasons, and the patient, the center of every treatment, was often sidelined.
Time to act! Time for a change! Time for a start-up!
With this conviction, Köhrer Medical Engineering and EndoCowboy Products were born.
Innovation Driven by Conviction
With the launch of the Endocowboy in 2018, we made a bold statement. This specialized instrument for removing fractured root canal files quickly became the gold standard and is now taught at universities worldwide and used by endodontic specialists globally.
The introduction of the Endocolibri, a revolutionary irrigation system for efficient and effective cleaning of complex root canal systems, is another milestone that demonstrates how innovative, practice-oriented solutions can significantly improve treatment outcomes.
But we are not stopping there.
The development of the EndoWolf, a new preparation system, is already in the pipeline – a project poised to revolutionize clinical workflows in terms of handling, organization, and efficiency. Additionally, we offer our Endocowboy Selected Products, a curated range of specialized instruments developed in collaboration with international partners, which have proven invaluable in daily clinical practice.
